Powerful, Comfortable, and Confident
It's you, only faster. The Turbo Full Power system senses the force you apply to the pedals and amplifies your effort up to four times, making any hill or destination no sweat. Body position and handling are optimized to deliver everything the rider needs: comfort, confidence, and control. Tektro HD-M520 hydraulic disc brakes (180mm) rein in your speed, while larger 29x2.35" Ground Control tires offer more traction for turning and stopping on any terrain. The SR Suntour 34 suspension fork (110mm travel, Boost axle) smooths out rough surfaces on and off the road.
Turbo Technology at the Heart of the Tero
The heart of the Tero is its Turbo technology. The advanced and integrated electric bike system delivers an unequaled combination of power, natural feel, anti-theft functions, training tips, and a full-function bike computer. The Specialized 2.0 motor (70Nm torque, 250W nominal) works together with the Specialized U2-710 battery (710Wh, state of charge display) to provide smooth, quiet, and seamless amplification on any terrain. The included 42V4A charger with Rosenberger plug ensures reliable charging. The MasterMind TCD display with handlebar remote, Bluetooth® connectivity, and customizable display pages puts full control at your fingertips.
Secure by Design
Tero has anti-theft on lock. Thwart would-be bike thieves by disabling the motor with a press of a button — nobody can turn the motor back on without your personalized PIN. For additional protection, lock the battery in the bike or take it with you to make bike thieves miserable.
Ready for Any Terrain
The drivetrain combines custom alloy forged crankarms (ISIS, 170mm, 104 BCD) with the Shimano CUES 9-speed derailleur and shifter with optical gear display. The Shimano CUES 9-speed cassette (11-41t) and Shimano LG chain with a 40-tooth chainring featuring Chain Retention Technology round out the drivetrain. The 29" wheels with 25mm internal width rims and DT Swiss Industry spokes are built on Specialized alloy hubs with sealed cartridge bearings front and rear.
Fully Equipped for Every Adventure
As the EQ variant, the Turbo Tero 4.0 Step-Through comes fully equipped straight from the factory: Specialized DRYTECH fenders (65mm width, alloy fenderstays), a Specialized rack with MIK HD interface (up to 27kg load capacity), a Specialized kickstand, a bell, and the Turbo System Lock. A Lezyne StVZO headlight (300 Lumen) and Spanninga StVZO taillight with auto brake function keep you visible day or night. The step-through frame design makes mounting and dismounting easy, while the TranzX dropper post (100-120mm depending on size) adds versatility on varied terrain. The cockpit features a Specialized Trail handlebar with Body Geometry grips, and the Bridge Sport saddle with steel rails ensures all-day comfort.
