Turbo Technology at the Heart of the Vado
The heart of the Vado is its Turbo technology, an advanced and integrated electric bike system that delivers an unequaled combination of power, natural feel, anti-theft functions, training tips, and a full-function bike computer. The Specialized 2.2 motor (90Nm torque, 250W nominal) works together with the Specialized U2-710 battery (710Wh, state of charge display) to provide seamless power delivery. The included 42V4A charger with Rosenberger plug ensures reliable charging.

The Turbo Full Power system senses the force you apply to the pedals and naturally quadruples it for an experience that makes getting up any hill or to any destination no sweat. Literally. The automatic Hub Interface (enviolo, 17Nm, 40T spline compatible) works together with the enviolo AUTOMATiQ Pro shifting interface for a seamless, stepless riding experience.
Comfortable and Confident
Body position and handling are optimized to deliver unsurpassed riding comfort, confidence, and control. Powerful Shimano CUES 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes rein in your speed, while larger tires provide maximum traction for turning and stopping. The drivetrain combines custom alloy forged crankarms (170mm) with a low-maintenance Gates Carbon Drive belt system (CDX 122t belt, 50T chainring, 22T sprocket) for clean, quiet power transfer.
Smooth: Stay Comfortable in the Saddle
Stay comfortable in the saddle with an 80mm RockShox Recon Silver RL front suspension fork with Motion-Control, higher volume tires, and a plush Cane Creek Thudbuster ST suspension seat post that smooths harsh bumps from points A to B. The 27.5" wheels with 30mm internal width rims and DT Swiss Industry spokes are built on Specialized alloy front hubs and enviolo Heavy Duty rear hubs (380% range) for reliable, low-maintenance performance.
Secure by Design
Vado has anti-theft lock built right into the bike. Prevent would-be bike thieves by disabling the motor with a press of a button, so no one can turn on the motor without your phone connected to the Specialized app or your personalized PIN. The Vado's battery locks in the bike or can be easily taken with you, and if anyone tries to move your bike, an alarm will sound. The MasterMind TCD display with handlebar remote, Bluetooth® connectivity, and customizable display pages puts full control at your fingertips.
Fully Equipped for Everyday Riding
The step-through frame design makes mounting and dismounting easy. The Turbo Vado 5.0 IGH Step-Through comes with Specialized DRYTECH fenders (65mm width, extra strong aluminum fenderstay), a Specialized rack with MIK HD interface (up to 27kg load capacity), a kickstand, and a bell. A Lezyne Power StVZO headlight (500 Lumen) and Spanninga StVZO taillight with auto brake function keep you visible day or night. The cockpit features a Specialized alloy handlebar with ERGON GA30-S Custom grips and a Specialized Flowset stem, while the Bridge Sport saddle with steel rails ensures all-day comfort.
